POST WORKOUT- It is very important that you have a combo of carbs and protein after your workout. The crucial time window is 45 minutes to an hour after your workout is completed in terms of when you should be eating. No matter if you are trying to lose weight or gain weight post workout nutrition is important. Liquids will be absorbed the fastest and therefore be the best. - Walgreens Deerfield Farms Flax Bites- They are a bit dry, but taste like an oatmeal cookie and provide nutrients. Look for them in the snack aisles or the near the checkout. They are only 99 cents so its a great deal.
- Turkey Jerkey-high in protein and low in fat. Whole Foods have a nice selection.
- Power Bar Protein Plus bars-in the world of a thousand bars its hard to find one with good taste and a solid amount of protein and this has both. The sugars are high but I prefer regular sugar as oppose to chemical substitues.
- Mix 1 drinks- You can mind these online or at Whole Foods. You get nutrients and protein along with antioxidents. The taste is similar to yogurt and they come in 4 flavors.
